Deutsche Telekom Ranked Top In Industry 4.0/IoT Vendor Benchmark 2017

According to the Experton Benchmark study 2016, Deutsche Telekom (DT) and its corporate customer subsidiary T-Systems is classified as “leader” in six categories. The study titled “Industry 4.0/IoT Vendor Benchmark 2017” ranked DT high for its products and services as well as its market position.

Under “IoT Platforms” category, DT created a multi-IoT platform by combining different platforms of various providers, thereby easing the difficulty of enterprises to step into IoT. “…..”with the multi-IoT platform, DT is pursuing a powerful vision. Depending on what it wants to achieve, the customer can access a number of different IoT platforms – locally and from a single source,” the study pointed out.

DT also has products under IoT integration platforms from the cloud (iPaaS) and industrial big data analytics.

Commenting of DT’s offerings, Experton said, “The Cloud of Things Starter Kit offered by Deutsche Telekom, thanks to its connection with the mobile network, is the only IoT starter package specially designed for mobile use.”

The Bonn-based Group’s consultancy and integration services in the areas of “IoT logistics” and “IoT connected cars” also earned the praise in the study.

Experton Group’s independent “I4.0/IoT Vendor Benchmark 2017” analyzes the performance of vendors and service providers that are currently offering I4.0/IoT platforms, solutions, and services in the German market.

IoT Platforms, iPaaS for IoT, Industrial Big Data Analytics, Industrial Analytics Visualization, Industrial Security, IoT Starter Packs, IoT Logistics, IoT Connected Cars, and IoT Smart Building Energy Management are the categories analyzed under Industry 4.0/ IoT vendor benchmark 2017.
