Tele2 AB has appointed Guillaume van Gaver as the Executive Vice President – International. His appointment will be effective from 5th July and he will directly report to Allison Kirkby, President and CEO of Tele2 AB.
With more than 20 years of international experience in telecommunications industry, Guillaume will undertake the responsibilities of Tele2 operations in the Baltics, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Austria and Germany. He has earlier worked with companies such as Orange, Mobinil, EE and Dixons Carphone. At Dixons Carphone, he was instrumental in the repositioning of the retail activities of the company in Continental Europe to CWS. He also drove the expansion of the Egyptian subsidiary of Orange to increase its customer base from 7 to 21 million.

In another development, Lars Torstensson, Executive Vice President New Growth & Strategy, has decided to leave Tele2 AB. Lars was a part of Tele2 AB since 2007 and has held several top management positions within Investor Relations, Communications, Strategy and New Growth. He will remain in his position at Tele2 AB until mid-November.

I wish him every success in his new adventure,” said Allison Kirkby, President and CEO of Tele2 AB.
