At the fourth Connect To Connect Summit (C2C) held in Pretoria, South Africa, the international telecommunications provider ZTE Corporation unveiled its vertical broadband solution (v2.0). Its solution will work on the design and infrastructure requisites of broadband networks for power, rail transportation, radio, and television.
The provider has also launched a series of smart city solutions at the summit. Besides, it discussed the opportunities and challenges involved in the ICT segment within various countries with experts from across the world. Two workshops, namely “Smart City – Wonderful World” and “ZTE Vertical Broadband Network Solution” were also held.
Being an international player, ZTE’s involvement in networking and smart city solutions is huge. The Chinese telecommunications company ZTE has been involved in more than 150 smart city projects across China. It has also completed smart city projects in 140+ cities and 40 countries. Its products and services are sold to over 500 operators in more than 160 countries.
Using its products and solutions, ZTE builds the urban infrastructure networks into a unified bearer network with interconnections, communicating among various Government departments and thus, solving issues like social stability, traffic, etc.
ZTE also announced its plan to work with the African governments and enterprises to build a roadmap for the development of the African ICT industry using smart city technologies.
